ENDOUME

Rachel reached out to us to help her with her passion project: transforming a charming but dated 37m² apartment in Endoume, Marseille, into a stunning luxury AirBnB. The original layout featured a dark, space-consuming mezzanine and a combined toilet-bathroom, and a bright red kitchen that didn't fit the beachy vibes of the neighborhood.

The key to the renovation was maximizing the flow of natural light and creating a more open feel. We removed the mezzanine, bathing the living space in afternoon sunshine. We then converted the existing kitchen into a cozy bedroom and repurposed a small closet into a functional laundry area. To enhance privacy, the toilet was relocated to a separate space within the entryway closet. Since all the original closet space was utilized for other purposes, we built a spacious new closet along one wall, seamlessly integrating two cleverly disguised kitchen unites - one housing an integrated refrigerator and microwave the other a coffee nook and pantry.

Inspired by the sparkling Mediterranean Sea just steps from the flat, the design style centered around earthy oranges and calming blues, with a sprinkle of seashell accents. A playful striped tile wall adds a fun touch in the breakfast area, with a color-coordinated echo in the bathroom.

Rachel's meticulously renovated AirBnB is now ready to welcome guests, offering a luxurious and charming escape in the heart of Marseille.
